Perched at an altitude of 1,336 meters, Roubion, a small village, seduces with its medieval charm. Its narrow, cobbled streets, lined with stone houses, offer an authentic atmosphere. In winter it transforms into a friendly ski resort, while in summer it is an ideal starting point for superb hikes.

The Col de Crousette culminates at 2,480 meters above sea level. Borrowed by the famous GR 5, it also allows access to Mont Mounier, which culminates at 2,817 meters above sea level.

The Longon refuge, rustic and shaped like a farmhouse, is open during the high season and offers single nights or half-board. Perched at 1,890 meters, the refuge is above all a farm that produces its own cheese. Don’t hesitate to get some to snack on the next day, on the way down. In the heart of Mercantour, the refuge has no network. Remember to book early to ensure a place.
