The Chapel of Saint Martin de Galéjas was built in the 12th century and stands on the side of a hill facing the church of Saint-Sylvestre. A curious pinnacle surmounts it. A source flows nearby whose virtue would be to cure skin diseases. The word Galéjas would come from gala, scabies. The first traces of the chapel date back to the middle of the 10th century, when it was dedicated to Saint Martin, apostle of Gaul, built instead of Galézas.

The old Lamastre station is the arrival point of the Ardèche train. Called Le Mastrou, this train takes you on a discovery of the Gorges du Doux. Built from 1886 to 1891, the railway line goes up the gorges from Saint-Jean-de-Muzol to Lamastre. This old steam locomotive takes you back in time. It is possible to make the trip with bicycles. Remember to book your tickets well in advance, especially during the summer.
