The Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (KMSKA) is the largest and most important museum under the auspices of the Flemish Community. It is housed in a stately building dating from 1884-1890. During the 19th and 20th centuries, works by living masters were acquired, providing an overview of artistic developments in Belgium and abroad. The KMSKA boasts the largest and most diverse Ensor collection in the world. The museum also holds several masterpieces from various foreign schools. As a teenager, I spent several days listening to music from the fence on my racing bike. Back home, they thought I'd been training for ages again... I found it incredibly fascinating. It was also the first multi-day festival on mainland Europe. Naturally, it was heavily inspired by the Woodstock festival held in the US the year before.
