The Speer via ferrata is rated B/C. It leads to the highest conglomerate or Nagelfluh mountain in Europe, the Speer. From the viewing platform there, you have a fantastic panoramic view. However, it's also quite crowded here, as an easy hiking trail leads up from the southeast. We found the via ferrata easier than advertised, and many Swiss climb it without safety equipment, which is also quite doable. The terrace offers stunning views of the Glarus Alps, the Churfirsten Mountains, and the Bernese Oberland. The hike from Hüttenberg takes about 45 minutes, and from Schutt, about an hour. https://www.bergrestaurant-atzmaennig.ch/

The summit (Chümibaren, sometimes also Chümmibarren, or Chrüzegg), just west of the Chrüzegg mountain restaurant, is definitely worth a visit. The summit cross, view, and bench are all worth a visit.

The highest point of the Rickener Nagelfluh range. This mountain is ideal for combining with a longer hike between Rotstein and Chrüzegg or Chummibarren. Beautiful views toward Säntis. In spring, numerous white crocuses bloom on the slopes of the Obere Tweralp.

Hochalp summit (1530 m) offers superb panoramic views. The summit lies slightly south of the path between the Hochalp restaurant (1521 m, to the west) and the secondary summit Hochalp Ost (1525 m).

The section is classified T4 because it goes along several small climbing passages, some of which are secured with chains. Sure-footedness is therefore necessary. Progress downhill is rather slow.
