A very beautiful viewpoint accessible by mountain bike

Marsanne is a very pretty little village where it is nice to take a break in the shade of its plane trees.

When you think of train station buildings in France, you immediately think of magnificent arrival halls. But the reality in Begude-de-Mazenc? Rather rustic. The modest brick building, located not far from the M. Loubet park, served as a train station from 1893 to 1936 - without pomp, but with charm. Passengers waited patiently on simple stone benches for the Petit Train du Picodon, while at least believing they were safe from the notorious Mistral. The municipality had hoped for at least a toilet - they only got a small room. Fortunately, the street was wide enough to allow the trains to cross. This road pass culminates at an altitude of 515 meters. It crosses the Marsanne national forest, which brings you into a magnificent wooded environment.

The perched village is recognizable from afar, thanks to the white silhouette of the Saint-Félix church which culminates at the summit of Marsanne. For a complete tour of the site, let yourself be guided by the last vestiges of the Montluisant castle. Don't forget to pass by the Marsanne vines (whose grape variety is used in Côtes-du-Rhône appellation wines).

Autichamp is an ancient Gallo-Roman village. The perched town has managed to preserve its medieval identity and its Renaissance style soul. From the village, there are magnificent views of the Saoû forest and the Trois Becs massif.
