Inscribed on the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 1998, Porte Saint Jacques is the historic entrance for pilgrims en route to Compostela, who coming from the Madeleine district of Saint-Jean-le-Vieux, cross Saint-Jean -Pied-de-Port in the direction of Roncesvalles. It offers a nice view of the Arradoy hill, once a stone quarry and now planted with vines under the Irouléguy appellation. A quick look at a top notch sports complex.
