Tannenfels Castle sits on a small hill near Nottwil and offers an idyllic view of Lake Sempach. The historic property from the 19th century is surrounded by old trees and exudes a wonderful sense of tranquility.

There is an adventure trail by the pond. This leads through the middle of the biotope at any time of year. This rich habitat can be experienced intensively with all of the senses.

The plague cross, erected in 1952, is intended to protect against plague, hunger and war. During the last wave of plague from 1627 to 1629, almost 400 of the almost 1,000 inhabitants of Sursee fell victim to it.

The vineyard is home to six grape varieties - two red and four white. The location is picturesque: sunny, at the foot of the white chapel and with a view over Lake Sempach and the Swiss Alps - simply wonderful 👍

The chapel was built on this moraine hill in 1658.

The Marienbrunnen is one of the two large, old city fountains. A fountain at this location was first mentioned in 1596. In 1688, master Hans Spichtig erected the column and the statue of Mary.

This modern fountain was built in 1998 to mark the first stage of the renovation and redesign of Sursee's old town at the end of the 1990s.

The source of the Suhre is in Lake Sempach, is 33 kilometers long and ultimately flows into the Aare.
