생 리지에르 대성당은 아리에주에서 가장 중요한 역사적 건축물 중 하나입니다. 로마네스크 건축 양식, 정교한 프레스코화, 독특한 회랑이 인상적입니다. 이전 주교궁과 함께 중세 도시 경관을 형성하며 이 지역의 역사에 대한 매혹적인 통찰력을 제공합니다.

The greenway from St-Giron to Foix (which I always did in the direction Foix to St-Giron) is the most beautiful part of the greenway which in total goes to (almost) Boussens. It is a slightly hilly section with the most beautiful landscapes!

The cathedral, which dates from the 11th, 14th and 15th centuries, is a French historical monument. It has a beautiful Romanesque cloister, also classified as a historical monument. It has also been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1998.

Beautiful greenway to go from St-Girons to Boussens (or vice versa!). Less nice than from Foix to St-Girons but still good! On the other hand, compared to some photos, there is no tunnel on this part, you have to go towards Foix for that!

Very nice walk between paths, forests, small roads with a superb panorama. Small difference in altitude but on a steep and short climb. A very nice little tea room awaits you on arrival in Saint Lizier, a charming little medieval village. We loved it

This beautiful village is at the crossroads between the mountains and the plain. Its weekly market is really famous and attracts a lot of originals and people who live a bit on the margins of society. We thus meet a heterogeneous crowd as well as craftsmen and traders selling quality products. When the gendarmes arrive to carry out checks, out of solidarity, everyone warns each other. For that, Montbrun makes me think of a village of irreducible Gauls. Apart from Sunday which is lively, there are often deserted streets, but also the best baker in the area.
