The Canal de l’Aisne à la Marne is a 58 km-long artificial canal connecting Berry-au-Bac to Condé-sur-Marne, a distance of 58 km. Inaugurated in 1866, it is part of Hugues Cosnier's grandiose plan for an orbital route from the Loire to northern France. The route is still used for commercial traffic, primarily grain transport, while recreational traffic consists primarily of private boats in transit. Along its banks runs the Coulée verte (the green corridor), an 18 km cycle/pedestrian path that crosses the entire metropolitan area of Reims from Pont de Vesle to Sillery.

The path is more suitable for cycling than for hiking.

While staying on the asphalt, you can cover more than 24 km. From the St. Brice Courcelles side, you can go up to La Neuvillette, then to Courcy, it's an unpaved road (passable but not for road bikes). After Courcy, there's asphalt up to Berry au Ferry (this allows you to discover the Sapigneul Owl, about 150 m on dirt road). On the other side, after Sillery, you can continue to Beaumont (asphalt). Then, on a dirt road passable by mountain bike, you can go to the Billy Arch, where the canal passes through a tunnel.

The bicycle lift on the Pont de Vesle in Reims, which provides access to the Coulée Verte, is sometimes out of service. This lift, located in the middle of the bridge, facilitates access to the greenway from the city center. It also has a staircase. There is also a bicycle inflation/repair station on the Coulée Verte, near the Pont de Vesle.

The Kiosque à musique (Music Stage), in the Jardin de la Patte d'Oie, is an octagonal music pavilion restored in 1994, and brought back to its original state, by the GHM company of Sommevoire. It was built in 1869 by the builders Leturc & Baudet of Paris to a design by the architect Brunette. Charming, elegant and surrounded by greenery, during the "Flâneries musicales" it becomes an open-air music stage.

A green vein of peace and movement that stretches for 24 kilometres along the Aisne-Marne canal. Once an old towpath, now a lively promenade for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. This green corridor winds through Reims, connecting city life with nature, passing historic sites such as the old bathhouses, Port Colbert and charming parks. An unexpected oasis in the heart of the Champagne capital, where history, sport and relaxation come together.

To the northwest of Reims, the Chenay vineyard is made up of a vast plateau on which stretch beautiful champagne vines. In autumn, the spectacle is even more magnificent.
