This is the end of the climb on the North face, a pretty place, herds in summer, and 100 m below the Pas d'Archail there is water.

Magnificent 360° view, I recommend this summit. A climb of almost 1000 meters of elevation gain from Archail, but overall without technical difficulties apart from very small passages very occasional. After a climb on the north slope, in the forest of deciduous trees then larches, we arrive at the Pas d'Archail and the view opens up on other summits. The climb becomes a treat with multiple panoramic views (and possibility of tasting raspberries in the climb, in season). A cross welcomes us at the summit.

This curious construction actually belongs to an original and unique artistic journey. Work of artist Andy Goldsworthy is a 150 kilometer walking route. The route offers a mix of contemporary art (Land Art), hiking and rural heritage through the largest geological reserve in Europe.

This beautiful chapel offers a breathtaking view of Digne-les-Bains. Saint Pancras was a very popular saint in Provence who died a martyr in Rome. Built in the 17th century, the chapel was restored in 1880. Since 2001, it has once again hosted an annual pilgrimage in May.

Magnificent view of the Robines, slopes formed of black marl. These sedimentary rocks were found at the bottom of the seas in the secondary era. Later, the formation of mountains brought up its soils which shelter numerous fossils (ammonites, algae, plants).

The path that leads to the ichthyosaur fossil goes back up into this beautiful ravine, following a stream which flows among pubescent oaks.

Ichthyosaur site invites you to discover the fossil of this marine reptile. Measuring more than 4 meters, it is 183 million years old. A platform allows you to observe the fossil of the reptile whose shape is similar to that of sharks.
