Cabin used in August 2025. There are no mattresses, but a wooden structure on which to place your own sleeping mats or mattresses. Sleeps approximately 8-10. Very good condition and well maintained. A stream flows about 20 meters away, and there is also a source (pipe) of drinking water (indicated on the map) 150 meters away. Bivouacs are also possible nearby.

The path connects with the normal route up from the Larrau pass and ends the ascent on the west side of the peak. Beautiful view of the flat country as well as the Pic d'Orhy. Summit very flat and wide. Almost a small plateau. But in September 2016 it was covered all over with sheep droppings, so not really suitable for a bivouac, although otherwise nice.

A small hut on a shepherd's property that can be used by hikers. Very practical, especially in bad weather. The hut is equipped with a fireplace and somewhat dingy mattresses. Unfortunately, mice also feel at home in the hut, which is why you'd better hang up your food safely.

With multiple departing options, we chose to start from the Iraty main parking. We camped at the bottom of the first peak (highly advised due to the strong winds). The terrain is of easy access except the small part on crest linking the 2 peaks. If do not feel comfortable with height you will have few meters a bit sketchy but nothing terrifying. At one point straight after the first peak u will find a path that goes around the thinnest part of the crest. On the top at 2000m u will be repaid with a wonderful view. I would advise this trek for trail runners because of it's up & down, great training playground.
