At 1,493 meters, the Feldberg is the highest mountain in the Black Forest. The panorama from up here is impressive. Since the summit is treeless, you have unobstructed views in all directions. In good weather, you can even see as far as Mont Blanc. The surrounding Black Forest peaks are worth seeing in their own right.

At almost 1,389 meters, the Stübenwasen is the fifth-highest mountain in the Black Forest. It lies between the Schauinsland and Feldberg mountains. From here, you have a magnificent view of the Feldberg summit, easily recognizable by its towering peaks.

After a fairly demanding ✅🚲 tour, with quite a lot of elevation gain for us flatlanders, the idyllic beer garden with plenty of shade and cool shandy and draft beer came at just the right time...👍
