Kienzler Forge: "The hammer mill was operated by the Kienzler family until 1961, who had taken it over in 1885. The forge was used by local farmers until 1963. Today it is owned by the municipality of Kirchzarten. The Kienzler Forge has two undershot waterwheels. Products were manufactured there for local trades as well as for agriculture and forestry. Very beautiful gravel path on the summit of the Stübenwasen, which at 1,388 meters is one of the highest peaks in the Black Forest.

The Dreisamtal Cycle Path runs through the valley with almost no incline and offers a relaxing ride with magnificent views of the Black Forest hills. Along the way, there are numerous places to stop for refreshments, playgrounds, and farms.

A former farm estate, first documented around 1300 and run as an inn from 1600 onwards. Today, the Hofgut Himmelreich inn is run as an inclusive business and offers permanent employment to people with intellectual disabilities, in addition to non-disabled employees, based on hotel and restaurant rates. A Way of St. James, long used by pilgrims, passes through here. You wouldn't notice that the chapel has been demolished twice for road construction. It has been rebuilt repeatedly under the supervision of the Monument Protection Office. The property is just a short walk from Himmelreich train station, from where you can take the Höllentalbahn (Hell Valley Railway) towards Titisee and Freiburg. There is a noise barrier facing the B31.
