superb little path between the Couze Pavin and the salt springs of Saurier

Magnificent stop at Saurier with a good history lesson and a visit to the church too

In the section just after the bridge, the path is a steep scree slope, almost a wall, but remains passable with a little technique, then becomes gentler higher up.

Saurrier is a village where there remains a medieval bridge, the remains of a fort as well as various monuments and architectural elements.

Very easy path, with a beautiful view of the Couze Chambon valley, the Sancy chain, while skirting a plateau bordered by Volcanic organs. Crossing of the beautiful old village (beware of the climb from the bottom of the village: very steep !!)
