At the dangerous corner, because there is a mountain cliff here and it goes steeply down to the Aare: 90° angle, not secured, here you have a wonderful view over the Aare. Stop for a moment and enjoy.

The Bürersteig Pass is located in the Jura Park Aargau. The Fricktaler Höhenweg runs over the 550 meter high pass and the hike to the Cheisacherturm is also signposted here. The pass is served by the B142 bus service from Gansingen and Remigen, the two villages north and south of the hill. Mönthal, which is also located at the foot of the Bürersteig and is often chosen as the destination for a hike to the Cheisacherturm, also has a bus service to the next largest towns in Aargau.

The Aare bridge here is a quick connection between the two banks of the Aare. There is a separate path that is wide enough for bicycles and pedestrians, safely separated from the road. On the right bank, I recommend visiting the Freudenau ruins, which are an ideal place to relax, with tables, benches and fire pits.
