Very beautiful view

Magnificent view over the plain and the Gaves valley. On the other hand, it is not an old luxury hotel at the top, but the old cable car station. There is indeed a project to transform it into a shelter, but the funding is not forthcoming.

It is a beautiful port, very quiet, with a narrow and irregular road that drives very well. Both aspects are worth it, although they are very different. I like the east side better. It is a perfect alternative to climb the Col de Soulor, avoiding the busy passage through Argelès and the first part of the climb to Soulor.

A very nice hiking and climbing tour, but you should have a head for heights. The view from the summit makes you forget the effort. Our dog also managed it, but Lenchen needed support every now and then. We returned the same way because the suggested route was too dangerous. Locals gave us the information that there is actually no path there. So no round trip.
