Beautiful old monastery in which monks actually still live. The monastery is divided into two parts: the urban part can be visited (with a small café, entrance fee). And the other one, where the monks live, can also be visited for a donation. Please note: opening times may vary The monastery is constantly being renovated according to the old model, but this does not interfere with the visit.

Lagrasse, the old capital of the Corbières on the banks of the Orbieu, is a commune in the Aude department / Occitanie region. The place is recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in France. The old town with a Roman arch bridge and the abbey of Sainte-Marie d’Orbieu are among the sights in Cathar country.
