Lėbartas Jurgis (1879–1946) was a cultural figure and politician, businessman, signatory of the Tilžė Act and member of the Lithuania Minor Rescue Committee. In 1928, for his services to Lithuania and the Klaipėda region, he was awarded the Order of Grand Duke Gediminas, the Lithuanian Independence Medal, the Medal of the Supporter of the Liberation of the Klaipėda Region (silver) and the Archer's Star "for Merit". In 2019, this memorial plaque was unveiled here.

In the middle of the botanical garden in Palanga is the Amber Museum, which is well worth seeing. There you can admire exhibits of insects and even small reptiles encased in amber. On the edge of the park is the very beautiful Baltic Sea resort with a beach, promenade and corresponding fresh air and refreshment options.

The Sound Catcher (Garsų gaudyklė or Klangfalle) stands in a forest clearing on the dendrological trail. If you listen at the narrow end of the horn or sit inside it, you can listen to the sounds of the forest.

In the botanical park in the former castle of Count Felix Tiskevicius runs the more than 100 ha botanical park. Very beautiful!!!
