This magnificent cathedral in Metz was dedicated to the patron saint of "Saint-ETIENNE". He was one of the first seven deacons of the original Jerusalem community and, according to the biblical accounts in the "New Testament", was also the first martyr (martyr) of early Christianity. The Saint-Étienne Cathedral (German: St. Stephen's Cathedral) in Metz in Lorraine was built between 1220 and 1520 and is considered one of the most beautiful and largest Gothic church buildings in France.
