At the top, on the edge of a hillside, the German parish church of St. Remigius impresses with its onion dome, atypical for the region. The dome dates from 1742, the lower part from 1550. Like the first church built around 1030, the present parish church served as the focal point for the villages of Leidingen, Heiningen, Sermlingen, Schrecklingen, and Wölfingen. Its nave is a simple hall with three window axes and a narrow, three-sided chancel. The older tower, added to the west side of the nave, gives the church an asymmetrical and interesting appearance.

"German Window" in Leidingen refers to the so-called "border view windows" in the town's two churches, which mark the German-French border. Leidingen, a district of Wallerfangen, lies exactly on the border, with the "Neutral Street" (in France, "Rue de la frontière") forming the border between Germany and France. The border view windows in the churches allow one to look through them into the respective neighboring country.

A very beautiful hike between the fields of Neuforweiler, Felsberg and Picard. There are beautiful panoramic views of the Saargau (Berus, Unterfelsberg and Oberfelsberg), the Lisdorfer Berg, the Wadgasser Wald, the Limberg and the Saar-Plygon, among others. The hiking route is asphalted or concreted (field paths) up to about 250 m and has only 3 slight inclines. It is therefore suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. In very hot weather, please note that - apart from the final circular route around the Taffingsweiher - there are hardly any shady passages. Therefore, it is better to do it in the early morning or early evening.

A monumental hall of light and mass! In 1965, Gottfried Böhm won a competition announced by the parish to rebuild the dilapidated nave (1865/66; Arch. Carl Friedrich Müller). The tower façade (1883–1885), once built by the Cologne diocesan master builder Vincenz Statz, was to be preserved. Böhm proposed a new building that would be uncompromisingly modern and adjoin the neo-Gothic façade. Only the proportions and height dimensions of the previous building were retained as guidelines.
