The fountain was built in 1770 and shows Hercules on a rock as the main figure. At the moment the fountain shines in all its splendor, freshly restored and only back in operation since July 22.

Who doesn't think they're cute...? It's really nice to watch the little ones. They're very curious and look closely at people :) There's a bench in front of the enclosure where you can sit for a while.

The path from the memorial to this spot, Fürstenweg by the large park lake, delighted me with the abundance of flowers on the meadow and a wonderful wrought iron bridge. The hiking trail then leads out of the lower castle park, a little uphill towards the market square.
