45km solo ride out to Newport to meet the Pirates. We had a new recruit today, Richard, who treated us all to some bubbly with our brunch🥂 Eight Pirates braved the very blustery winds & thankfully it stayed dry for us😃 The ride home from Newport, mainly into the wind was a tough one, but all in all a great December day out😎😎

I was going to do a short indoor ride this morning but on waking it wasn’t wet & windy as it seems to have been for ages!! So I decided to go for a short ride outside instead - so much nicer to be outdoors, there was even a glimpse of sunshine 😎

Very windy riding conditions today!! Had the best tailwind ever on my ride out to Newport😃😃 Then we paid for it all the way to Scleddau, but it did stay dry which was a very welcome bonus. I rode straight home from lunch & nearly crashed when I hit a squirrel!! The crosswinds were ridiculous on the main road home. Glad to get there in one piece.

Forecast was for heavy showers today. Fortunately we missed the heaviest of the showers when we were tucked up in the cafe for brunch😉 We enjoyed some beautiful sunny periods & fantastic views on the way over to Maenclochog. Only a short ride as I was feeling a bit under the weather 🤷♂️
