That was a great tour, where the flysch is very well developed. This location is not called a "Geoheritage Site" without reason. You can find more information here: https://iugs-geoheritage.org/geoheritage_sites/cretaceous-paleogene-stratigraphic-section-of-zumaia/ Here, among other things, the famous Cretaceous-Tertiary boundary is exposed, which marks the end of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. This was due to the Chicxulub meteorite impact. The border shows increased Iridium values.
