At the Essen viewpoint “Heissiwald” you get a wonderful view of the historic district of Werden, the Ruhr, the impressive dam and the beginning of Lake Baldeney. The Essen viewpoint “Heissiwald” is one of a total of 32 viewing points that were put together in 2017 on the occasion of the city being named “European Green Capital”. The viewing points offer an ideal view of the green city of Essen.

Very nice view of the Baldeneysee and Essen-Werden .... A lot of car noise due to the B224 .... Some very nice forest sections on the Baldeney Steig, nice UP and DOWN .... Paths in the woods invite you to take extra turns ... ,
