The Scheinfeld Lindwurm, a dragon lives underneath Schwarzenberg Castle, so it is still said today. No fake field has ever seen him, but many believe they know what he looks like. His body is shaped like a snake and he has at least four legs. Some claim that the Lindworm can spit fire, especially when the sun rises over the castle and the horizon turns yellow. If there was a new crack in the castle wall, people believed that the Lindwurm has moved again, because it has to turn around. Older illusionary fields believe that the Schlossberg has lost more and more height and they think that the Lindwurm is still hollowing out the mountain so that his apartment gets bigger. Out of gratitude, the Scheinfeld citizens built a well for their Lindwurm, named a cafe after him, painted a picture of him on our school wall, named a culture award and a marathon after him.
