The reconstructed site of an Iron Age courtyard is open to you as a visitor at any time. Only the Iron Age House itself is only opened at certain times. Otherwise you can take a look at the replica of the historical facility and immerse yourself in a very long time ago. The Iron Age House belongs to the Schnippenburg Museum, where an Iron Age castle complex was excavated. Everything together gives a wonderful insight into the region during the Iron Age.

Iron Age House Darpvenne is the name of a stable house from the Iron Age that was reconstructed in the Lower Saxony community of Ostercappeln in 2008 based on archaeological findings from the pre-Roman Iron Age. The house, together with its outbuildings and usable areas, the oven, a smoker and places for iron processing, forms a typical prehistoric farmstead of the region in the south of the North German lowlands on the northern slope of the Wiehengebirge. On the farmstead's 3000 m² area, people's lives can be traced back to around 300 BC. Chr. clearly conveyed. The project is related to the Schnippenburg excavation project.[1]
