"Court gardener Theodor Klett 1808-1882" is written on the stone at the intersection of Schleifmühlenweg and Lennéstraße, and the man's face can be seen on a bronze relief plate. The memorial stone and information board for the garden director, who designed the Schwerin palace garden, was unveiled in 2017 at the Schleifmühle autumn festival by the deputy mayor of the city, Bernd Nottebaum, and the sculptor Nando Kallweit.

Theodor Klett was a Mecklenburg-Schwerin court gardener. His work shaped the garden and park landscape in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania to this day. He also campaigned for the preservation of the grand ducal grinding mill.
As a thank you for his commitment and work, a boulder with a commemorative plaque was erected in the immediate vicinity of the Kletts' former home.
