Unfortunately there are still no guided tours, but the view over the Neckrtal and the castle from the outside are worthwhile.

Dauchstein Castle was built around 1100 in the Stauffer period as a customs castle over the Neckar. Customs were levied on passing ships on the Neckar. In addition, a chain was stretched across the river. More history on the board on site.
The castle is privately owned. There are guided tours. Not at the moment because of Covod-19.
