A brewery in Pilsum was first reported in 1595.
The current historic building from 1673 was restored in 1998 with old building materials after a variety of uses over the centuries and opened as the "Old Brewery".
Ancient architectural evidence is visible again, showing the history of the building and providing clues to the lives of people in the past.
The cellar, up chamber, taproom, Karnhuus, brewhouse and Gulf (now the restaurant kitchen) have been exposed again.
A bar and a restaurant have been set up - enough space for up to 65 people.
