Elisensitz lookout point

According to tradition, the Elisensitz lookout point was the favorite place of Crown Princess Elisabeth of Bavaria, wife of Crown Prince Friedrich-Wilhelm of Prussia. He had the Prussian architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel build a lookout point at this location, which was popularly known as Elisensitz. This site was probably built around 1833. The site, which had fallen into complete disrepair over the years, was reconstructed in 2005. Source: Text information board

In the immediate vicinity of the Church of St. John the Baptist, Schinkel created the viewing point "Elisensitz" at the favorite place of Crown Princess Elisabeth of Bavaria.

According to tradition, the Elisensitz vantage point was the favorite place of Crown Princess Elisabeth of Bavaria, wife of Crown Prince Friedrich-Wilhelm of Prussia. The Prussian master builder Karl Friedrich Schinkel had a lookout point built at this point, which was popularly known as the Elisensitz. This site was probably created around 1833.
