The impressive Palmero rock, with 2306 meters, closes the northern part of the Taburiente caldera. The sunset in this place is magical, when the sun's rays make the colors of the caldera a spectacle. It is known that the Roque Palmero was a place frequented by the Benahoarite aborigines (the first settlers of the island), since remains have been found near the summit.
