Where the current church stands, there used to be a half-timbered church built between 1664 and 1666. This was, however, demolished in 1903. The current church that you see here was built by the landowner and patron of the church, Rudolf Schulz. It is a neo-baroque, multi-part hall church that was consecrated in 1903.
