This is a beautiful old Cistercian abbey that is also famous for its lavender cultivation. Most tourists come just for the lavender and hardly notice the abbey at all. It is well worth taking a tour of the old monastery rooms and attending a service in the abbey church. The singing of the monks in the wonderful acoustics is very touching!

An absolute MUST is a guided tour of the abbey. From the outside it is an absolute highlight, but only inside you can really understand the unbelievable extent.
The tours take place in different languages and are designed to be quite interesting and appealing.
At first we didn't really want to take part, but a friend of mine said it was a must and it was more than worthwhile ... and she was absolutely right.
