The natural theatre, nestled in the romantic atmosphere of the park on the Loket chateau grounds, opened its first cultural season on July 2, 1949 with the opera Rusalka by Antonín Dvořák. Thousands of people attended the performances until 1964, when the theater closed due to declining attendance and lack of funds to support it. The amphitheater was restored only after 1990 and today, during the summer season, concerts of classical and contemporary music, as well as opera, theater and film performances and other cultural events of the city are held there.

Great amphitheater. And of course an incredibly beautiful background with the castle and the bridge. That's how you like to be entertained. There are enough parking spaces in front of the bridge. Only the steps are a bit uneven, so be careful.

The amphitheater is located at the foot of a unique backdrop of the Lokerter Vorburg towering over the Eger. A wide variety of cultural events, such as theater and opera performances, take place in this romantic ambience.
