Beautiful preserved castle ruins and the landmark of Hilpoltstein. Over a long tunnel you reach the castle courtyard. Also worthwhile is the ascent to the castle tower, because from the top you have a magnificent view of Hilpoltstein and the surrounding landscape.

Opening hours:

From April to October at weekends and public holidays from 10.30am to 5pm

Ticket prices:

Adults 1,50 Euro

Children over 12 years 1 Euro

One of the sights is also the Traidkasten. This imposing building was the former granary in the outer bailey. The 'Haus des Gastes' is located here and the adult education center also has rooms here. Behind the granary it goes up to the castle.
