This view can often be seen on the "Hohes Elbufer" hiking trail, which is located at the beginning of the "Altonaer Balkon".
The facility owes its name to its viewing platform on the Geest slope 27 m above the Elbe with a view of the Hamburg harbor and the Köhlbrand. The extensive park, created after the Second World War, is a popular excursion destination for Hamburgers and visitors to the Hanseatic city and represents an important connection between the Elbufer hiking trail and the Altona fish market and the Neu-Altona green belt.
