The scaffold - the word comes from French and means "scaffolding" - is round and made of stone. Seven steps lead to the pedestal, which is said to have been the place of execution for the city of Calw until 1818.

In the past, the "witches" were burned or beheaded here. And it is said that the spirits of the innocent dead are still haunted here. On the 1.70 meter high and 5.80 meter wide, accessible scaffold there is a 55 centimeter high and 46 centimeter wide wooden stake in which a sword is stuck.

In addition to a bench, there is also a bird's nest swing near the scaffold, which is great for resting. There is also an interesting information board that tells a story about a woman robbery.
