ハイキング
The oldest surviving building remains do not date before 1200. The lords of Waldeck were "grave-like" estate and had earned in the course of the 13th century, a more extensive territory. With the extinction of the lines of those of Waldeck 1417 and 1553, the castle went to Württemberg. The today well-known Waldeck ruin was further developed and inhabited until the 17th century. Presumably, the plant was finally destroyed in 1688 in the Palatinate War of Succession by French troops.

The "Waldeck Castle Ruins" are located near Calw, Baden-Württemberg.
- in the Nagold Valley
- it is said to be one of the most beautiful and best preserved ruins in the surrounding area
- built around 1100
- so-called hilltop castle or spur castle
- at the time of the "law of the fist" it was a feared knight's castle
- only accessible on foot from the state road 348 at the "Teinachtal" hotel near Neubulach (2.5 km forest path, approx. 30 min.)
- free entry
