The Danubius Fountain, as the Viennese like to call it, stands proudly on the Albrechtsrampe. Officially, it's called the Albrechtsbrunnen (Albrecht Fountain), named after Archduke Albrecht, who, from his noble steed, gazes down at the lively activity around the fountain. The good Albrecht once inhabited the Albertina Museum, which once stood on the former Augustinian Bastion. When people ask who's sitting on that horse, they often hear answers like August, Albert, and, of course, the real name: Albrecht. But enough about all those "A" names!
