Lille Norge, Little Norway, is one of the most beautiful natural areas between Blokhus and Løkken and is located in hilly terrain in the dunes by the sea.
Lille Norge is a somewhat steep glacial valley from the post-glacial period that was created by the Littorina transgression. The slope is made of clay, but it is covered by sand that was brought in by water and wind.
The name, Little Norway, is said to come from a Norwegian captain who was homesick and thought he could see an image of the Norwegian mountains in the steep slopes of Lille Norge in the evening glow.
The entire valley is a nature reserve.
The Guldagerhøj, which lies south of the nature reserve, is an excellent vantage point. (visitjammerbugten.de)
You can also cross the area. Dogs must be kept on a leash, as cows and horses graze in the area.
