It is one of the most popular and complete recreational areas in the north of Tenerife. A whole paradise located at 1000 meters of altitude. It has parking lots, a bar-restaurant, a children's playground, public toilets without showers, grills and tables. You will also find a camping area where you can stay for free as long as you ask for a prior permit.

The caldera is the final stop of bus line 345, in its basin bottom Canarian families meet for lively barbecues in the summer months.

The rest area is built around a small caldera with numerous tables and benches shaded by trees. There is a children's playground, public barbecue areas and toilets. Highly recommended for a rest.
