How the name comes about is largely unknown. Today's fountain was built in 1955 as part of the slope fortification along the Sperberklingenweg and the hare portrait was designed by Professor Fritz von Graevenitz.

Previously, the source horizon that emerged here was simply summarized in two places. The source has always been a popular destination for the Weilimdorf population and the escaping water is preferred as drinking water.

The latest, even stricter drinking water regulations have now classified it as NO drinking water.

Location and history: The Hasenbrünnele is not far from Dirschinger Castle, near where the Sperberklingenbach flows into the Lindenbach.

How the name came about is largely unknown. Today's fountain system was built in 1955 as part of the slope reinforcement along the Sperberklingenweg and the hare portrait was designed by Professor Fritz von Graevenitz.

Previously, the source horizon that emerged here was only drawn in a simple manner in two places. The spring has always been a popular destination for the Weilimdorfer population and the water it escapes is preferred as drinking water.

The latest drinking water regulations, which have been tightened again, have now classified it as not drinking water.
