The stream feeds the Buberlesweiher before it leaves the forest and then flows through Botnang.
The Buberlesweiher was created in 1972 as a retention basin and wetland biotope. The artificially created, 0.2 hectare Buberlesweiher is located a little west of Botnang.

The word "Buberle" is derived from "Buchele" or "beech." Thus, the correct name would actually be "Buchenbach," as reported in the Botnang Chronicle of 1920. In the early 1970s, the Buberlesbrunnen fountain was diverted, and with the simultaneous expansion of the Buberlessstraßenstraße, the Buberlesweiher pond was created. The lake is one of the few wetlands in the Wild Boar Park and an important refuge for many amphibian species.
