The bay of Sistiana is set between the high rocky walls of the former quarry, very popular with mountaineers, and the cliffs of the Duino Natural Park, covered by lush vegetation, typical of the Mediterranean scrub. The beach is made up of light-colored pebbles and gravel, lapped by clear blue waters, with shallow waters, which slope gently towards the open sea.
