Carl von Stein had the originally baroque garden converted into a six-hectare landscaped park around 1800-1840. According to contemporary ideas, the beautiful was combined with the useful. On the basis of a cadastral plan of 1869 parts of the park and the park architectures were reconstructed in the second half of the 20th century. Under lush old trees lead winding paths to a ruined tower, a grotto with burial place, a bathing lake and an extraordinary flower garden with a so-called flower theater and canvas house. Through a sandstone channel, water flows through the park to a fountain in front of the theater. Today, the park still has a nursery with an outdoor area for summer flowers, fruits, vegetables and herbs. The castle park can be visited all year round.
