              If you look at Mölln from the air or on the map, you will notice that the city is bordered almost entirely by lakes and rivers in the north and east. But Mölln does not see this as a limitation, but quite rightly as a unique enrichment. And this enrichment definitely includes the Schmalsee lake in the east of the city.

              In fact, it is quite narrow and long and is flowed through by the Hellbach in a northerly direction. Completely surrounded by forest, there is a continuous circular path along the bank. Only a narrow strip separates the body of water from Lütauer See, whose water flows into the Schmalsee. The romantic hotel-restaurant “Waldhalle” is located on the north side.

                                      Mölln is surrounded by beautiful lakes.
                                      South of Mölln there is also the wonderful “Drüsensee”, in which I went swimming last summer, north of it the “Lütauer See” and north of that again the smallest of the three lakes, the beautiful “Schmalsee”.
