The Catholic parish church of St. Kilian is a striking example of contemporary church architecture. Built between 1970 and 1974, it combines modern design with historical elements. Particularly striking are the concrete sculptures by Emil Wachter, which can be found on both the exterior and interior walls of the church. The freestanding historic church tower in the west complements the modern church building, connecting past and present.

The tower of the Catholic parish church dates back to the previous building. The new church was consecrated on December 1, 1974. There are numerous relief sculptures on the interior and exterior walls.

The Kilianskirche is a Catholic parish church in Osterburken. If you look at the building and the church tower from the outside, you would expect a completely different interior. A visit to the church is worthwhile.

The church tower dates back to a previous historical building, whereas the church building was rebuilt from 1970 to 1974 in a modern design language made of insulating concrete with striking relief sculptures
