Between two lakes, a dam of boulders serves as stepping stones, along which you can hang on a rope to avoid slipping. In case of flooding, there are two options: take off your shoes and socks or take the almost one-kilometer detour.

The Molenplas premium hiking trail had a little adventure in store for us. It runs between two lakes. Yes, you read that right. We had to cross the water using stepping stones that run right through the water from one bank to the other. Not all of the boulders protruded above the surface; unfortunately, some were below the surface. I'll tell you whether we managed it with dry feet in my blog post: netreisetagebuch.de/premium-wanderweg-molenplas
