The Hompesche Molen visitor center opened its doors in 2005. The presentation of nature and landscape are combined in a special way with the rustic interior of the mill café. Information about the surrounding area can also be found outside. It is therefore not surprising that the Hompesche Molen is mentioned in the book: “Netherlands - 1000 places you really have to see” by Flip van Doorn.
From here, hikes, excursions, lectures, children's parties and numerous other events are organized. In addition, the Hompesche Molen is an ideal place for meetings, workshops, family reunions, etc. due to its quiet location on the island in the Maas.

The miller is personally present on the first Saturday of every month. He spends the morning grinding animal feed and is happy to answer visitors' questions.

De Hompesche Molen dates from 1722 and stands in the middle of an island in the Maas near the old fortified town of Stevensweert. It is the highest mill in Limburg. There is a café in the mill. Walks, workshops and lectures are also organized here.
Opening hours:
Easter to 1 October: Thu to Sun from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
from 1 October to Easter: Sat and Sun from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
