We have taken the "Green Dot" mark. The path over the summit (543 m) is not, or hardly to be found, since it is not only overgrown, but is also covered with a gust of wind and similar obstacles. Sometimes the marking is missing and the path is no longer recognizable. There is no view at all at the summit, but there is before the entrance to the forest. Here you can once again enjoy the wonderful distant view towards Bayreuth, the Fichtelgebirge as well as the Sophienberg and the Muthmannsreuther Forest with the Hohe Manne (580 m).

Update 2023: The section of the hiking trail over the Schobertsberg has been abandoned, the marked trail now leads around the mountain. As a result of massive tree felling, you now have a great view towards Bayreuth and the Fichtelgebirge. Some of the markings are still there, but the path is growing.
